DESTINY
Sounds cliche but some find it romantic when they hear the word "Destiny." Destiny is defined as the predetermined or inevitable course of events and is the hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate (source: freedictionary.com & google images). Some people might think that destiny are just for hopeless romantics but it's actually happening in real life.
The movie: Turn Left, Turn Right is a Hongkong-Singaporean romance film (2003)
and is based on a book, A Chance of Sunshine by Jimmy Liao.
The movie portrayed the meaning of destiny and how fate played with the main characters, John Liu and Eve Choi.

"He always turns right, She always turns left." Beside them, I think fate played a very big role in the movie. I am getting frustrated all throughout the film because I want them to see each other but in the end, I'm just disappointed because what I want, didn't happen. There are times where they are in the same place but then again, never had a chance to see each other. They even exchange phone numbers, not only once, but twice but sudden circumstances hinder them from talking to each other. A lot of circumstances stopped them from seeing each other but destiny, takes place. They finally met each other in a very wrong situation but then, it shows how destiny can still help them find their way back.
I love how the movie let us understand the true meaning of destiny and how it makes us frustrated when they're on the same place and never had a chance to see each other. I love how fate played on them. I love the setting and also I love how the scenes are unpredictable and unexpected. I love how the film brought us mixed emotions all throughout, one moment we're enjoying the entertainment it is showing then another, we're getting frustrated in the circumstances that hinder them from seeing each other. I would totally recommend it to others because it's such a great film and will really help you know more about destiny.

I agree with what you said "You do not meet people by accident- there's always a reason and purpose" like in the movie the two main characters met for a reason and that reason is that they were really meant for each other even though there are a lot of circumstances they've been through still in the end they find their way to live with each other.
ReplyDeleteAre you considering that you and Armando met because you are destined for each other in such a young age? I do believe in destiny. But I also do believe that it is your choice whether you wanted to make your relationship longer. It is not destiny anymore. Don't you think nak?

DeleteThis blogpost is great tho. Some people are really meant to meet each other yet they're not meant to be together. But if it's God's plan, then it will be. They will meet again at the right place and at the right time no matter how much circumstances or problems that will hindrance them. :)~
