VI - SoM Week

School of Management Week

I was quite sad with the change of name of our 'school', from the previous, 'School of Accountancy and Business', It is changed into, 'School of Management'. I do prefer the former because it felt like to me that they removed the Accountancy although some said that the change of name is because the term 'management' refer to the four courses: Accountancy, Business Management, Marketing and Tourism. Oh well, it's not the focus of this blog, I would like to stress out my experience during the School of Management week.

Last term until this term, I'm kinda' stress with the school works and other stuffs and I really like to unwind and take a rest and want to get away from academic stuffs for a while.

 

When I heard that there will be an event for the SoM students, I got excited and really can't wait to taste my rest. SoM week happened last October 26 until October 30. I'm very happy that we almost had no classes during the whole SoM week. It means I got my most awaited rest also.

I didn't had the chance to join the parade during the opening of the SoM week because I am busy collecting the resumes of my block mates. There were a lot of booths the whole week and I most enjoyed the Dairy Queen. I didn't had a chance also on the TMysteries because me and my friends are in the SAO, playing Monopoly. After playing, We proceed in the MPH1 to woin the Halloween Movie Marathon but unfortunately, we came late and we only arrived at the middle of the mvie but we still understood the story and we also screamed when there came a scene that's frightening. I also watched the family bluff but not the whole show and it's quite entertaining to watch the professors in a game show. I also enjoyed the basketball game although, the accountancy didn't get the championship game. Me and my friends also attended the SoM night. I am surprised to see only a few students in the cafeteria. I was expecting a lot of students because it is supposed to be party night but then, I was wrong. We still enjoyed it, we danced and had a picture with the photo booth. Last, the pageant, the Mr. and Ms. SoM, i didn't watch the pageant because I had to attend our Alumni Homecoming in my previous school, God's Grace Christian Academy. I admit it's hard to choose whether I'll attend he pageant or the homecoming but in the end, I chose the homecoming because, it's the 20th anniversary of my Alma Mater and it's the first alumni homecoming. 

I had a hard time to choose because I have block mates who joined the pageant, Steven and Latrell.

Even though I didn't witnessed them competing with other candidates, I'm very proud with my block mates because I know that they did their best.

I am quite satisfied with the SoM week, I just didn't like the seminars and stuffs because it is making me bored. I thought that he SoM week will have more entertaining activities but then, I only get hurt by expecting *smile* but all in all, the SoM week is fun and I'm looking forward to the next SoM weeks in the future.
